Managing your client database in Gatherly.
Clients
Clients are the external parties you send Document Requests to for document collection. Gatherly provides comprehensive client management with contact tracking, activity history, and secure portal access.
Clients Add NewClient Records
Each client record stores:

| Required - used for sending requests and notifications | |
| Full Name | First and last name |
| Phone | Optional contact number |
| Company | Optional organization name |
| Notes | Custom notes and descriptions |
| Tags | Custom metadata for organizing clients |

Adding Clients
You can also add clients directly when creating a Document Request.
Editing Clients
All changes are logged in the audit trail.
Archiving Clients
Archive clients you no longer work with to keep your list organized:
Archived clients can be restored at any time and their request history is preserved.
Client Portal Access
Clients access their Document Requests through a passwordless portal using Secure Links:
Clients don't need to create an account
Each Secure Link is unique and time-limited
Links expire based on your organization settings (default: 7 days)

Client Activity
Track all client interactions:

| Request history | All Document Requests sent to the client |
| Document uploads | Files submitted by the client |
| Portal access | When the client last accessed their portal |
| Signature history | Documents signed by the client |
Bulk Import
Import multiple clients at once:
- Go to Clients
- Click Import
- Upload a CSV file with columns:
name,email,company,phone - Map the columns to client fields
- Review and confirm
Export
Export your client list to CSV:
- Go to Clients
- Click Export
- Choose export format (CSV)
Useful for backup or migrating to other systems.
Search and Filter
Find clients quickly:
- Search by name, email, or company
- Filter by tags or status (active/archived)
- Sort by name, date added, or last activity
