Audit Logs

Gatherly maintains comprehensive audit logs of all actions taken in your organization for compliance and security monitoring.

What's Logged

Every significant action is recorded:

Log Entry Details

Each audit log entry contains:

Viewing Audit Logs

  1. Go to Settings > Audit Logs
  2. Browse the activity feed
  3. Use filters to narrow results
  4. Click entries for full details

Filter audit logs by:

Audit logs cover all resource types:

Digital signatures have enhanced logging:

Exporting Logs

Export audit logs for external analysis or compliance:

  1. Set your filters
  2. Click Export
  3. Choose format (CSV or JSON)
  4. Download the file

Exports include all visible columns plus full metadata.

Log Retention

Audit logs are retained according to your settings:

Privacy in Logs

Sensitive Data Handling

  • Passwords are never logged
  • Email addresses are partially masked in exports
  • PII is anonymized in old logs before deletion
  • Sensitive field changes show "changed" not values

GDPR Compliance

When a user requests deletion:

  • Their logs are anonymized (not deleted)
  • User ID replaced with anonymous identifier
  • Original actions remain for compliance
  • Cannot be re-associated with the user
